Hello, October! Or as the Germans call it, Oktober. Today is the first Thursday of the month, which means it's time for the aptly titled roving happy hours, "First Thursday". Our friends Walter and Susan each host these monthly gatherings, at a different bar each month. Tonight, Walter's group is at M.J. Armstrong's, while Susan's group is at the new midtown lounge, Forty Eight. Another midtown lounge, Haven, hosts a photography exhibit tonight, while upper east side lounge Stir celebrates its grand re-opening with a 3-day fete, tonight through Saturday. Prost!
