Salute to Firefighters
Firefighters, military members, veterans, 9/11 family members, and compassionate supporters of NY's Bravest will attend "A Salute to Firefighters" to honor fallen heroes and recognize the sacrifices made every day.

Adam's Angels will launch the new Brother-to-Brother initiative at this event. This program will support those suffering from WTC related illnesses and troops injured overseas.

Having raised over $15,000 for the Children's Burn Camp through the past two Salute to Firefighters, Adam's Angels have decided to support other worthwhile firefighter related charities through the 3rd Annual Salute to Firefighters.

Every dollar collected from admission and raffle ticket sales will go directly to the benefit the following 3 organizations:
~ FDNY VFW

The SSGT Chris Engeldrum FDNY Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #12033 was instituted on 8/12/2005, in memory of SSGT Christian P. Engeldrum, the first New York firefighter to die in Iraq out of the 103 who have been activated since 9/11. In keeping in the spirit of their national organization, they have been steadfast supporters of the rehabilitation of disabled veterans from Walter Reed and Bethesda Hospitals, assisted the widows and orphans of disabled and needy veterans and promoted Americanism through education in patriotism and service to the community of New York City. For more information, please visit: DNYVFW.com

The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund was established in memory of Terry Farrell, a decorated member of Rescue 4/FDNY and Chief of the Dix Hill s Volunteer Fire Department. Terry perished on September 11, 2001 in the World Trade Center attack. The Farrell Firefighters Fund was established to support the needs of firefighters and their families, across the nation, with educational, medical and equipment needs. This fund supports the firefighters who serve our communities. The fund tries hard never to say no to any request for aid and have given out over $500,000 since its inception in 2002.
For more information, please visit: Terryfarrellfund.org

The Thomas R. Elsasser Fund was established in 1992 to support the families of NYC firefighters who died non-line of duty as active members of the FDNY. This fund supports the many families that do not have access to the more lucrative financial benefit packages that the families of members who have made the supreme sacrifice do. The funds are used to help with medical costs, housing and repairs and school tuition, to name a few.
