Two midtown bars, T.G. Whitney's and Windfall are holding their annual summer party cruise tonight out on the water. This event is always a lot of fun, and since it has lasted so long, they must be doing something right.

Hudson Square Music & Wine Festival

The third annual Hudson Square Music & Wine Festival kicks off tonight with Mike Doughty.

It takes place outside in the courtyard behind City Winery on Tuesday evenings from June 21 to August 16. Free admission, with no tickets needed, it starts early in the evening: 5:30pm - 7:30pm. The weekly concert series kicks off tonight, June 21 and runs every Tuesday night through August 16.

How to Celebrate Bloomsday 2011 in NYC

Bloomsday commemorates James Joyce's epic novel, Ulysses* and the exploits of the main character, Leopold Bloom. It is celebrated worldwide on June 16, the anniversary Bloom's journey through Dublin on that day in 1904.
While it originated in Dublin, New York City is among many cities around the world that be holding Bloomsday observances. Literary New Yorkers have several options in celebrating the day:
