In honor of the DVD release of "Toots", Foley's is hosting Toots Shor Day.

Toots Shor was a famous New York City saloonkeeper in the 1940s & 1950. A confidant and drinking buddies to the likes of Jackie Gleason, Frank Sinatra, Joe Dimaggio, Marilyn Monroe, Chief Justice Earl Warren, to name a few.

"Toots" is a documentary narrated by Toots himself, with audio from an oral history recorded two years before his death, and directed by his granddaughter, Kristi Jacobson. Customers and legendary New Yorkers featured in the film include: Walter Cronkite, Mike Wallace, Frank Gifford, Whitey Ford, Yogi Berra, Maury Allen, Dave Anderson, Bill Gallo, Joe Garagiola and Gay Talese among others.

Menu & 1958 Prices from the famous saloon all day
Foley's Pub & Restaurant will be presenting a special Toots Shor menu, with 1958 prices.
Menu items such named in honor of Toots Shor customers include:
Ernest Hemingway’s Lobster Bisque and Joe DiMaggio’s Sliced Tomato and Onion Salad for $1.
Entrees such as Frank Sinatra’s Sirloin Steak, Frank Costello’s Corned Beef n' Cabbage, Jackie Gleason’s Deep Fried Scallops and Frank Gifford’s Curried Chicken can all be had for
under $8.

“Toots Shor has long been my idol in the restaurant business. His was a place where everyone felt welcome. His customers included baseball stars, entertainers, gangsters and G-men, as well as average folks,” said Shaun Clancy, owner of Foley’s, “That’s the type of atmosphere we try to re-create at Foley’s… without the gangsters.”

with live music by Pete Caldera and the Sam Rubin Orchestra.
They will sing the songs made famous by one of Toots Shor’s most loyal customers: Frank Sinatra. The staff of Foley’s will be dressed in formal attire.
