Bloomsday in NYC: Tuesday, June 16

Today, June 16 is Bloomsday, a literary holiday commemorating the life of Irish writer James Joyce. Bloomsday celebrations relive the exploits of Leopold Bloom, the main character in Joyce's epic novel Ulysses. The events in Ulysses' all took place on the same day, June 16, in Dublin in 1904. June 16 was also the date of Joyce's first outing with his wife-to-be, Nora Barnacle, when they walked to the Dublin village of Ringsend. (Wikipedia)

In New York, what better way to celebrate Bloomsday than at Ulysses', which opened on Bloomsday in 2003. Ulysses' will be celebrating their anniversary and commemorating Bloomsday all day and all night.
