Tony Devine is Still Missing

It has been over 7 weeks since a local man from Ireland disappeared from the streets of New York while enjoying a night out with a friend. And still, no sign of him.

Tony Devine was last seen at two midtown bars on Friday, November 30, 2007.
Since then, nobody has seen or heard from him. His family & friends launched a desperate campaign to find him, covering many neighborhood establishments with fliers.
They are even offering a $50,000 reward.

The latest new report we've seen was from Jan. 14, still with no clues:

If you have any information, please contact Tony's brother; Martin: 914.469.7303

Hell or High Water - 18 Years

Congratulations to our friends in Hell or High Water on celebrating their 18th year in rock & roll.

They will be celebrating with a gig at The Cutting Room on Wednesday, January 16.

It all started back in 1989 in a small pub in Brooklyn, when four guys played a gig to a packed house of friends and family.

They will be filming and recording this event for posterity so they request a fun crowd to yell, scream, clap, sing along and participate in some audience interviews for the lasting record of this event. They will also be introducing and recording three originals..."Muddy Water", "I Don't Care Anymore", "Song for Hughie"

The band request your presence if:
"we've played a benefit for your organization or played at your wedding, or if you met your significant other at one of our gigs or if you broke up with your significant other at one of our gigs..or if you've enjoyed a night out with our band or if you just want to see yourself in our video,or if we've performed at your bar or been banned from your bar.. or if you can hearken back to some of our more eclectic gigs in far flung places like Pittsfield Mass. or the South Street Seaport, or a lighting storm boat cruise or that scary biker bar in Bay Ridge or in your backyard...or if you lived near us during out early "basement practice sessions" (sorry) ....or if you just need a night out after the holidays...."

Congratulations to the guys in Hell or High Water:
Wipf, Stells, Chuck, James, Glenn, Steve & Tony

Sundays at Seven

Our friend, comedian Fiona Walsh, and her friend Ann Design produce a monthly variety show called Sundays at Seven. For over six years, Sundays at Seven has hosted some of New York's best comics and musicians on the second Sunday of every month!

Born out of the Irish Arts Center's Sunday Night Cabaret which saw the early development of the play Celtic Tiger Me Arse--subsequently produced by the Irish Arts Center to great reviews--the show has morphed into a high-end entertainment experience.

Ann and Fiona assemble comedy's rising stars, including performers from HBO's The Sopranos, Comedy Central's Premium Blend and Gotham Live, The Letterman Show and Conan O'Brien, the HBO Comedy Festival in Aspen, as well as overseas performers. Past performers have included Jim Gaffigan, Tex Alexandro, Laurie Kilmartin (Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn), Aoife Clancy and Eddie Dillon, and David McSavage (Edinburgh Theatre Festival), as well as opera singers, piano players and traditional Irish musicians and dancers!

The atmosphere is relaxed, with drinks available in the lobby.Plus, there's no drink minimum, so the show is a great value AND incredibly entertaining.

This Sunday, January 13, the show features:
Rock Albers - two time MAC-award winning comedian Rick Younger - BETs Comic View. Showtime at the Apollo/NBC's Last Comic Standing
Jackie Monahan - LOL Tour, Stand Up NY and Gotham Comedy Club
Music by Honor Finnegan

Admission is $8 for IAC members and $10 for (non-members)
7pm (hence the title)
