One week to go until St. Patrick's Day, although NY has been celebrating all month. Today's highlight is Solas, who will perform at B.B. King's tonight and tomorrow at Westbury, NY.
The Irish-American band consists of founder Seamus Egan (flute, tenor banjo, mandolin, tin whistle, low whistle, guitars, bodhran), Winifred Horan ( violins, vocals), Mick McAuley (accordians, contertina, low whistle, vocals), Eamon McElholm (guitars, keyboards, vocals) and
Máiréad Phelan (vocals).
