Nerd Alert!

There is a new website for you nerds out there. The Adult Nerd, by Rob Blatt, is a lifestyle web magazine for nerds who love being nerds. They find the best stuff for nerds and suggests something new every day, including weekends (and Star Wars Sunday).
Check out TheAdultNerd.com, and you can "like" The Adult Nerd on facebook or follow on twitter @theadultnerd

"But Murph", you might say, "what does this have to do with NY nightlife?"
Well, in certain respects, NYC nightlife is still like a high school cafeteria, with each clique and sub-group finding the spots they can hang with like-minded people. Thus, the jocks hang out at sports bars, the rockers hang out at rock clubs, etc. There are bars for preppies, hipsters, gay and lesbian folk, "foreigners", club kids, bikers, rockers, beer geeks, goths and yes, even nerds!

There are even specific events where you can go and unabashedly get your nerd on.
Starting with the appropriately titled Nerd Nite:

Nerd Nite at Galapagos
Presented by Matt Wasowski, author of "It's OK to Like Sports: How Women, Intellectuals, and Artists Can Find Cultural Value in Athletics".*
