St. Patrick's Month - Let the Games Begin

St. Patrick's Day is so huge in New York City that it takes a whole month to celebrate it, so March is St. Patrick's month in New York.

#1 in our month-long series of St. Patrick's Day events:

March is aptly named, as it is marching season for St. Patrick's Day fans.
Since most Irish groups will be marching up Fifth Ave. on the 17th, they hold their own St. Patrick's Day Parades on the weekends before and after the big day.

Sunday, March 1st kicks things off with parades in Woodside-Sunnyside, and Belmar, NJ

Woodside - Sunnyside Parade
This is the 10th annual parade in Queens, started by Brendan Fay in 2000.
The parade welcomes all to celebrate Irish heritage and culture regardless of race, gender, creed or sexual orientation.
